trnscrb
brew tap jwa91/tap
brew install --cask trnscrb What does trnscrb do?
trnscrb converts selected PDFs, images, and audio files to Markdown from the macOS menu bar. Output is saved to the folder you choose.
How does Cloud mode work?
Cloud mode is optional. When you choose it, trnscrb sends the selected file or extracted content to Mistral for transcription or OCR using your own Mistral API key.
What about S3 mirroring?
S3 mirroring is optional. If enabled, trnscrb uploads original files to the S3-compatible endpoint and bucket you configure. trnscrb does not provide storage; you control the endpoint, bucket, access key, and secret key.
What about privacy?
Local mode processes selected files on your Mac when local processing is available. Cloud mode can upload selected files or content to Mistral. S3 mirroring uploads original files only to storage you configure.
Need help?
If the menu bar icon is missing, launch trnscrb from Applications and check the menu bar. If saving, Cloud mode, or S3 mirroring fails, recheck the selected output folder, Mistral key, network connection, and S3 credentials.
